Department of Transportation

The Yellow Belt Certification Program was instrumental in automating the mainframe testing process, reducing lead time (98%), and streamlining workflow (93.5%). By applying the DMAIC methodology, I was able to define the problem, measure inefficiencies, analyze root causes, improve the process through automation, and control the outcomes to sustain improvements. I highly recommend this certification to anyone looking to enhance their leadership, and problem-solving skills, making a meaningful impact to their organization.

Prior to taking the CI classes and being part of the CoP I was able to solve situations when problems arose but since taking the classes and being part of the CoP, I can tell that I seek out opportunities for bettering situations that may not be apparently problematic. I also ensure that the involvement of staff at all levels is accounted for when resolving situations and coming up with improving a process. I appreciate the CI CoP because of the way it has helped me view all situations

The vision of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP) is to deliver efficient and effective programs and services to Wisconsin agriculture, consumers, and businesses.
